2 litre mixing bowl
Kitchen scales
Flexible spatula
2 x Baking Trays lined with baking paper
Preheat the oven to 180 °C / 350°F
Sift the flour and baking powder into a mixing bowl, and add the soft light brown sugar and butter. Using your finger tips, work the mixture until the butter has been fully incorporated and it resembles breadcrumbs.

Add in the chocolate chips and continue mixing until the chips are evenly spread throughout the mixture.

Add the milk and vanilla extract and mix with your hands until the mixture becomes a dough. At this stage if the mixture is a little wet you can add 1/2 tbsp of plain flour to dry out.

Mold into a thick sausage shape roughly 30cms long. Gently mark the mixture in the middle half way along, then each section half way again. With your markings on each quarter, further mark these into 3; Giving you 12 equal marks for your cookies.
When happy, using your markings, split the dough into and mold into 12 1cm deep cookies and place on the baking paper lined baking trays.
Place in the oven for 15 Mins

Before the cookies get too brown, take out of the oven and air cool on a rack.
Serve and enjoy
