Pear and blackberry Crumble

Wonderful crumble. The pears and blackberries go with each other exquisitely. Super easy recipe too!

Crumble topping
 200 g plain flour
 100 g Butter (not spreading margarine)
 30 g Soft brown sugar (not demerara)

 400 g Tinned pears in juice (syrup is too sweet)
 100 g blackberries

Preheat the oven to 190°C/gas mark 5.

Open the tin of pears and chop into mouth size pieces, place the chopped pears into the ovenproof dish with 2 tablespoons of the juice along with the blackberries. we will use this later but set it aside for now.

Crumble topping

Place the flour along with butter in a large mixing bowl and rub together with your fingertips, try not to get the flour or butter to touch your palms, this will prevent it from forming a dough.

Rub it until it resembles coarse breadcrumbs, then add the sugar and stir without forming a dough.

Once combined, sprinkle every last bit over the mixed fruit. Bake for 30 - 35 minutes. Remove from the oven, leave to cool and enjoy!
